Achy joints

I have posted before about my aching and popping joints... my hands hurt all the time

I have Dr. appointment o  Tuesday .

I have been taking ibuprofen for the pain and swelling until someone told me that too much is bad for your heart.

Now I am not taking anything and this pain is getting worse , can anyone share if they have tried something that helps ease joint pain that doesn't involve taking drugs?

Thank you  Maria, what kind of tests did they do diagnose the RA? Did all your joints hurt or was it any specific ones? I feel the worst pain in my shoulders and hands, but it does move to my feet and sometimes my back and legs.

Please keep me posted on your treatment and I'm sorry that your going through this.

I pray that your faith will be strengthened.

Hi grace, I get this as well.. As I have rheumatoid arthritis not fun during menopause it makes it all 10x worse. But I don't take anything either my anxiety gets off the charts with medication and the side effects, so I just deal with the pain with what feels like there's a ball inside me playing pin ball off all my joints goes from this one to that one.. And right now I'm very achey in all of them too , they are definitely flaring up on me.. They feel like that action figure my brother had as a kid growing up stretch Armstrong lol.. Anyhow diet definitely helps I'm not sure how strict you are wirh cutting out all the triggers which are the fun stuff junk foods caffeine coffee processed foods and basically focus on lean meats nuts seeds salads veggies and fruits, it really makes a world of difference on tbe joints, and I hear things like cumin if tbats how its spelled and tumeric both good for tbe joints.. But basically joints flare up with redness and swelling and have to run its coarse and then settles down for a while only to flare back up again, I also use the heat gel pads that you put into microwave and place right onto the inflamed joint and wrap it and baby it for the day and just keep reheating the pad, that's a lifesaver for me... Hope you find relief soon..

Thank you so much Gypsy, that is exactly how I feel.. I will be in pain for days and then maybe for a couple of days I will be pain free and feeling normal again and then bam here I go again!!! I have Dr. appointment on Tuesday I am praying for a good report .

I am slowly trying to lay off coffee.. I don't really eat sweets and I  love vegetables and nuts so I will try my best to stay away from junk foods as you say.

I do understand what your feeling, my body aches like I got hit by a car or had a terrible fall, what’s been helping me is a warm epsome salt bath twice a week , and a good soaking in a hot tub.

Hi there Grace - Yes, I too suffer from achy joints, but it isn’t quite as severe as some of the posters - my main issue is the burning chest & back - I never thought that it could be caused from gastritis, but maybe so since my digestion is off.  I do take a fermented Cod Liver Oil capsule (read that it was more effective than just Fish Oil) for the aches & pains & I also read that Cod Liver Oil rubbed on joints is supposed to help with arthritis.  In addition, try magnesium spray on joints if you haven’t already. Hope that helps.

Thanks  Debra, I am taking magnesium in a supplement, I am also taking turmeric

I'm not sure if has really made a difference because since I stopped taking ibuprofen I am in constant pain. I didn't know about cod liver oil can you buy that at Walmart?

Hi Grace - I am not sure about Walmart since they don’t have one where I live, but I just picked up the Cod Liver Oil @ Whole Foods & ordered the Fermented Cod Liver Capsules online - but I am sure any pharmacy should probably have the CLO - Cod Liver Oil is one one of those old remedies with many uses, let’s hope you get some relief -

Hi Grace - Whoops! I had a Menopause Moment there...you take Fermented Cod Liver Oil via Capsules & you use CASTOR OIL on your achy joints, not Cod Liver Oil - glad I re-read that! Sorry! 🙃
