Only towards the end of an attack for example when I was ill at the start of Feb I started to be ill at 11pm and by 2.10am I was in 2 minds about lying on the floor of the bathroom as I was not sure I would make it to the bed. In the end with shaky legs like jelly I reached the bed and within 2 mins I thought damn need the loo again. I should have stayed on the floor but luckily I made it and back in bed by 2.20am. Whether it is just my legs or all over exhaustion I have no idea but after an attack I feel like I need a zimmer to get around. Luckily after a good nights sleep I recover slowly.

Many of the nerves in the stomach travel down the legs so pain can be referred, similarly parts of the colon run round the back so pain there could be referred down the sciatic nerve

I started getting leg pain several months before my IBS began.  I also had costochondritis. I often wonder if this was the start of irritable bowel and it just took longer for the stomach and bowel habit changes to appear.
