Acid reflux and lumps on back on tongue

Hello!

I've been diagnosed (ish) with acid reflux. upper endoscopy and ultrasound scan were completely normal.

Recently, I've been getting lumps at the back of the tongue (not ulcers) of the type you get when you are under the weather and i wondered whether other people have experienced this ? I'm not sure if it's because I am generally under the weather at the moment (anxiety, lockdown etc etc) or whether its linked to the post-nasal drip i am plagued with (despite PPIs and massively restricted diet).

thanks everyone!

    Hi Janet,

I hope you are doing well.

The lumps could be due to irritation from acid reflux, especially if you experience a lot of mucus or bringing acid up when burping. I haven't got these bumps, but do find that my tonsils swell quite often due to this and that the back of my mouth and tongue gets very sore, due to mucus and after eating. If you are worried about it, 100% go to the doctor to be safe and for peace of mind x
