Acid reflux attack - asthma symptoms -weight loss

I have suffered acid reflux for about 10 years. I felt tightness in my chest so severe that I went to hospital November 10th. Chest xray, EKG, blood all normal. The emergency Doctor suggested that it may be my abdomenal scphincter ans suggested a scope and sent me home with 2 inhalers - ventolin and atrovent. I went to my GP and he ordered 2 tests - barium swallow and ultrasound. He said a scope would follow pending results of the other tests. I have lost 3 pounds since this episode and would appreciate any info from this forum. I am a little concerned about the weight loss.

Hi. I had acid reflux for 5 years. Common treatment do not solve my problem. Ultimately, doctors tell me the root of your problem is nervous. I came to the psychiatrist and after treating different medications, I finally got treated with "Nortriptyline".

I do stress quite a bit and I know it doesn't help. I'm on a new pill "tecta" and pepcid AC, The reflux is somewhat under control. As for the asthma symptoms, it was determined that I had a sinus infection. This contributed to the asthma symptoms.
