Acid Reflux BUT only ever at bottom of esophagus near stomach

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello everyone,

I've been suffering from intermittent acid reflux for a few years, although these last few years i've really had it under control with only occasional bouts. I still get it but very rarely.

Occasionally, when I do get it, it is after eating breakfast - oatmeal - on an empty stomach. But frustratingly, I have oatmeal every day and it rarely causes this problem. So oatmeal everyday, but perhaps 1 in 10 days I get a tiny bit of acid right at the bottom of my esophagus above the LES sphincter.

Can anyone suggest why this might be, or has anyone suffered anything similar? Perhaps this is not a question of the oatmeal but maybe portion size/what i make it with/what i've eaten the night before.

Looking forward to hearing any comments.

Thanks,

SImon
