Acid reflux, chest pain , need advice ?

In my past I have never had issues with acid reflux. Two months ago I started having weird symptoms. Feeling of something in my throat , extreme fatigue, panicky etc. “Thinking from stress” doctors treated me for acid reflux and started taking ppi which made me sick. So then I started Zantac. I feel like since going to the doctor my situation has gotten worst. I have been having a very null pain in the middle of my breast bone and really acts ups in the middle of a meal or after . Also some abdominal discomfort. When I research the issue I don’t see anyone having chest discomfort and it’s mainly a burning feeling in there upper abdomen. I do get a burning feeling every few days and strange burps every few days to. Noticed after taking tums it does help after a meal . The Zantac I am taking is a low dose. I had a barium swallow done when this all started 2 months ago and it showed everything normal “ no acid reflux , or cancer” . It’s almost as if the doctors thought I had acid reflux when I didn’t and when they treated it the medicine has made my acid worst then it was. Is it possible it could be something else? Talking to normal people that have similar issues have more knowledge than doctors treating thousands of patients. When you google stuff it just makes the mind wonder lol. Any help would be very much appreciated!!!

I would push for an endoscopy as it is really the only way to see what is going on, you may have a hiatus hernia which will give you these symptoms. good luck.

Thanks for the tip and reply ! I made a appointment with a GI specialist but they can’t see me for two weeks. Then have to wait for a endoscopy. Wanted to see if anyone else experienced similar scenarios in the mean time . Thanks again 😃

Might be worth trying a sleep wedge and an alkaline/reflux diet to see if that helps. It's all about the diet for me. One can of fizzy drink or a deep fried meal and I'm ill for days!
