I would be really interested to know this too as never been formally diagnosed apart from just reflux? Sometimes my symptoms seem worse when I have a noisy, windy tummy and then turns to ibs. It's hard to find triggers when you don't know exactly what you're looking at treating!

Gerd is a digestive disorder affecting the esophagus and causing indigestion and heartburn. Gerd stands for gastroesophageal reflux disease and reflux is one of the main symptoms when the food is brought back up with acid.

Irritable bowel syndrome or ibs produces other symptoms like stomach pain, constipation or diarrhea as well as the heartburn and reflux of gerd.

I am not a doctor but looked this up.

Iv obviously looked it up too but as your reply suggests ibs and gerd are related and so begs my question
