hi please can anyone help.

I have had lansoperazole tablets for two weeks and it wasn't working.

so now I am on esomerapazole for 10 days and on day 7 I was ok, but now I am suffering again.

I have started a new job and I am in danger of loosing it as sometimes I cannot speak.

I have a good diet, I don't smoke or drink.

my doctor said that my floxetine tablets could be causing the reflux and tomorrow I am going back to the doctors to ask him to change them.

I just cannot go on like this as I will loose my job.

I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties. You very well may need to try a few different types of reflux medications until you are on the right one. One thing I can tell you for certain is that the stress of your job is nit helping. Secondly I would think it is against the labour laws to fire someone because they lose their voice. Please keep us updated .

thanks but I haven't got a stressful job and it's only part time.

I really like my job, I will be upset if I have to give it up.

it's the acid burning my throat that is the problem. The heartburn has been gone for weeks. I feel generally low and swallow air.

I wouldn't expect an employer to employ someone who couldn't do the job and I wouldn't be able to get there anyway with feeling so low from the symptoms the acid causes.

I am going to the doctors today regarding the floxetine. I have been on it long term and I need to eliminate it.

I am also due to have an operation in 3 weeks, I don't know if I will be able to due to the acid. The operation is nothing to do with my stomach.
