Acid Reflux / Hiatus Hernia/ Globus

Hello all, I have been following a thread on Globus and Acid reflux, but would like to know if any of you have tried apple cider vinegar for acid reflux.

My main sensation is just a lump in the throat, fear of eating hard things.  Now I suffer from nasal blockages too at times.  Sometimes the throat feels really tight.  This has been going on for six months now, with no resolution.   Have been to ENT, Gastroenterologists, and that's when they suspected Hiatus Hernia.  Have been on acid reflux tablets for almost 5 months with no real results.  So was wondering if apple cider vinegar is safe to drink as I have heard lots of good review on it.

    Hello CK

I know what you mean. Is horrible feeling. Apple cider vinegar actually makes me get acid reflux worst . In my case I'm not on any acid reflux meds but I have to watch my diet like crazy . My problem with the lump in the throat resolved a few months ago when I had a breath test and got diagnosed with bacteria  overgrowth in my small intestine. So I was put on this SIBO diet and also on 14 days of bacterial antibiotic.  I still have to stay in the SIBO diet because if not my bacteria will multiply again.

    Hope this helps !

not sure about about the apple cider vinegar, i know you can drink that with boiled water.  i was on acid reflux tablets and they didn't work for me either, if you have tightness in the throat, sounds like globus hystericus to me. i have had this for just over a year now. have had ent specialists look at it, they can't see any real problems with my throat. so it's a psychological problem, normally comes on through stress and anxiety.
