Acid Reflux... Or something more serious??

Long story short... Back in May i had a sudden feeling of abdominal pain in my stomach, and was unable to eat anything as my stomach would reject it, started feeling some numbness because of it so i went to the A&E where i was told that i have acid reflux symptoms. I was sent home with some Omeprezole and anti-sickness meds and was told to book the GPs next time (even though GPs take over a week to give an appt due to 'being busy' and COVID. Anyways, i started feeling better within a week of Omeprezole, so i stopped it and carried on with my life.
Then ofc a REBOUND! At the end of June i started getting that uneasiness in my stomach again and i could tell it was the same heartburn and sudden loss of appetite even some nausea, i popped a Omeprezole capsule but nothing really changed... So i called my GPs and they gave me an appt 10 days later?! Ofc i was unable to eat much and the abdominal pain and all kicked in hard again so i went A&E AGAIN and they doubled the dose for Omeprezole for 2 weeks... Symptoms decreased although not fully gone, i went to my GPs appointment and they said its Acid Reflux and it is very common, nothing to worry about, and that Reflux tends to kick in after your body gets tired of fighting against the Acid reflux build up over the years, and said to contact again if it doesnt get better after the 2-weeks of Omeprezole and they will prescribe me with more. I asked if they could do any tests at all and i was told no because this is very common and its usually nothing. Well, after the 2 weeks i still have symptoms maybe not as bad but my stomach is just not right anymore, I try to eat more but not too much. And now i have hemorrhoids from the diarrhea i had when symptoms were bad and this sore throat that wont go away ðĶ
I am concerned for my health and honestly doctors seem to care less about it, I know my body and i know something is wrong, I get anxious all day thinking it might be the worst case scenario and i might actually have some sort of cancer, my symptoms dont go away and new ones start appearing?!
I know i said short story lmao but it is so frustrating that people like me get no support from the doctors in the UK and i have no idea what's up with me, and it is affecting my daily life i have lost weight due to the loss of appetite, I am in my 20s and not overweight, always had a healthy diet so I dont get where its all coming from... Anyways i have booked in with a private gastroencologist in 2 weeks, where at least (and hopefully) i will get some perspective on this whole situation..
Anyone with some good advice or experience with these symptoms i would be happy to read and share with others! ð

I've had acid reflux for 10 months and also dont get relief from PPIs (I've tried all of them). If they are not working for you the best thing to do it change you diet. So cut out all tea/coffee, reduce all fats massively, reduce all sugar massively, no onion/garlic/tomatoes or chocolate and anything fizzy/alcohol. It can feel overwhelming to make such massive changes and you may loose weight because of it but it will probably help.
Anxiety also makes all the symptoms a lot worse so once you know these things are not something to worry about (even though its horrible) you may be able to relax a bit. I struggle with health anxiety so am constantly having to rationalise with myself.
Its also worth joining a few social media groups where you can talk to people. I've found that really helpful because symptoms I assumed meant that death was imminent turned out to be incredibly common with people with reflux. These groups share tips on what food to eat and methods of trying to reduce the reflux. Good Luck!!

Did changing your diet help you relieve the symptoms?? I have cut off all coffees/teas for the past 2 months and i have been eating pretty plain... It's just that as soon as i have 1 good day the next day BOOM back again, and it makes no sense... Taking PPIs has helped with being able to eat a bit more! But the symptoms i keep getting im just starting to get worried i may have something worse than i think, as it won't all fully go away ð
And you are right talking to other people when you're an anxious person really helps! I will try to keep myself busy that way and stay away from Dr.Google !!
