Posted , 6 users are following.

About two months ago one day my throat gradually feeling tight and feel nausea with a lump feeling in my throat near the adams apple area, after a few trip of acupunture the nausea feeling seems like went away and also the lump too, however my throat start to have a pain that I have never experience before and I didn't go see a doctor because I thought its an anxiety problem, until ten days ago I went to doctor and start taking some PPI and the first day when I start the medicine the throat pain and throat tightness have totally gone, but few days later my throat tightness have came back. Also, sometimes I feel very tired and dizzy, I am very worry if I am feeling weaker because of other disease. Have anyone here had the similar symptoms as me? Please help with experience!

    Hi Ken,

The lump sensation is the thing that's bugging me the most.

I was diagnosed of having acid reflux/GERD in May last year by an ENT doctor without performing any procedures and she just asked me questions about what symptoms i was having.

The lump in the throat never seems to go away. At first i thought i had throat cancer but thank god i was able to get across some forums about globus and acid reflux. I got calmed down and didn't have panic attacks anymore and I now know how to control my anxiety. I think the culprit is my GERD because sometimes i feel so tight in my chest area(heartburn) and belch most of the time. I stopped taking PPI's since last year coz i know it's not good for your body if taken for a long period of time.

Been trying some natural remedies but i think it's just me having hard time to discipline my self coz i really like eating fried, fatty, acidic foods. Im going to see a gastrointerologist tomorrow and suggest an Endoscopy coz I'm very curious as to how my esophagus looks like. As early as now i want to prevent any early signs of complications like (Barrets Esophagus which may further lead to Esophageal cancer).

I am with you in this journey of ours my friend! cheesygrin

Thank you for everyone's response, this calm me down more in a way.

I am thinking that I will actually start cutting down the proton pump soon, and yes my Ent didn't perform anything too. However, i finally got a hold to see a throat specialist soon and I will go to do a barium test and ask every questions that have been stuck in my mind, let me know incase you guys have any question so I can try to bring it up.

I suggest you look for a gastrointerologist doctor who's specialized for Acid Reflux/GERD. They have wide knowledge compared to ENT doctors when it comes to gastrointestinal problems. :D
