Hi sorry to hear that your suffering. My daughter has hs to what has helped her is to change her diet she had food and alergie test done and he can't eat dairy so as long as she's dairy free and follows a paelo diet she's almost hs free .I hope this helps.

Different remedies work for different people, it is really trial and error. there are quite a few posts on here that give a variety of diets.  Are you getting medical advice?

I took her to a natraupathic and she had food and alergie test done. She's on prov biotics and magnesium to build up her amune system. She's feeling a lot better and her hs is definitely better .

Yes she did see a specialist who put her on antibiotics for 3mths but they didn't work. It was seeing the natraupath that helped .

    Hi

I'm sorry to hear you've been suffering this for 2 years. As a long term sufferer myself (8yrs) you have my sympathy. Luckily, I've been generally 'symptom free' for the past 6 months.

I was on lymecycline for almost 4 years on & off (mostly on!) but I really disliked the idea of being on long term antibiotics & the side effects so I came off & started to try various things... diets, creams, natural/alternative.... nothing helped. Then, my new GP (while referring me to dermatology) suggested I try Chlorhexidine wash while I waited for my dermatology appointment.

It worked brilliantly within a month.

I went to see dermatologist & he offered steroid injection directly into a problem area if it filled up again but for now, I'm sticking to the chlorhexidine (Aka: Hibiscrub) and despite some scarring, remain clear.

    Hope this helps...

    Good luck

    X

Sorry for your pain. I would recommend a nightshade elimination diet, chances are good your just allergic to them.

Hello I was diagnosed with HS in 11th grade. I am now in my first year of college and I believe I have my HS under control. Like a lot of people I take turmeric capsules everyday to keep inflammation down, eat a vegetarian/vegan diet, and wash the area with antibacterial soap (Dial) and 10% benzoyl peroxide acne wash (PanOxyl). I believe the most beneficial thing (that I haven't seen anyone talk about) I do though is massaging the area with those two products. Seriously, I think that the rubbing and massaging of the skin, boils, scar tissue, etc. helps to keep the HS from flaring up, and if it does flare up, it helps it to heal much quicker than if I did not massage the area. I do this in the shower everyday with each product. I believe rubbing the area with any sort of lubrication you have in the shower helps wonders, from coconut oil to acne wash. I just want to reiterate again that this seriously has helped me so much and I just want everyone to know about it because this disease sucks so much. Massaging the area with a good amount of pressure and some product helps so much!!! Try it!!! Good luck!!!
