    Dear Dogg,

Yes, at least from my research and experience, it could definitely raise your PSA result. My understanding and belief is that it is best to avoid sex, masturbation, strenuous excercise, bicycle and motorcycle riding for 4 or 5 days prior to PSA test. If you did any of these things and got a high result, you might want to re-test after observing the above.

    Best of Luck!

amongst other things that could affect test results --

"Vigorous exercise – You might be asked not to do any vigorous exercise, especially cycling, in the 48 hours before a PSA test.

Ejaculation – You may be asked to avoid any sexual activity that leads to ejaculation in the 48 hours before a PSA test."

I just thought I'd post to see what everyone elses Dr. told them. I went in for a consultation for a biopsy and was seen by a physician extender she said lifting the day before and ejaculating 2 days before wouldn't affect result much
