Has anyone tried Acupuncture? I had success years ago with treatment on my back, so I am thinking along those lines again instead of op.

There is one apparently reasonable quality trial of acupuncture for CTS which reported a beneficial effect, but this does not seem to have been replicated by any other group so has to be regarded as 'provisional'. A few patients who have been to my clinic report having tried it, most of them say it had little or no effect - but then they probably would not have turned up in my clinic otherwise - always the problem with anecdotal experience. If you do try it you could come and report the effect on carpal tunnel net. Dr J Bland

I have bilateral carpal tunnel. Had surgery on my left hand last year which my doctor says was a failure. I recently had accupuncture to try & relieve the pain in my right wrist (which hasn't had surgery yet). I only went to a few sessions. I felt it didn't help me at all. I don't know if I was extra sensitive but my body didn't accept this treatment. It hurt more than it helped. So for me it didn't work at all!

You had success with accupuncture for your back so hopefully it will help your carpal tunnel. Please post your results. Good luck to you!
