Based on the research, acupuncture in conjunction with meds is successful. Has anyone tried this and found it successful?

I have had quite a few courses of acupuncture to help sort out painful health problems. Some of these were post herpetic pain and diabetic neuropathy. I had some dramatic relief from chronic nerve pain years ago after a few sessions with an acupuncturist which allowed me to come off all painkillers. I now have recurrent shingles which seems to be pretty active all the time and acupuncture hasn't improved the incidence or frequency of recurrence. For me, it's most successful for pain relief. Of course, all practitioners are different and it's important to get one that is registered to an association recognised in your country (I don't know where you live). I have found acupuncture 99% painless and usually very relaxing as you spend 10-20 mins with very fine needles in position, usually lying down. I've sometimes fallen asleep! You should be able to tell if it's going to work for your problems after a few sessions. One is not enough although I have had very good results straight away sometimes. I would definitely give it a try if you can afford the cost.

I believe your  diabetic neuropathy is actually the shingles virus. There are reported more cases of diabetic neuropathy symptoms in patients without diabetes than in those with diabetes. The diagnoses of diabetic neuropathy is actually symptoms of the shingles virus.

Accupuncture, diet, and supplements is even better!!! Add in massages, prayer/meditation, infra red saunas, quality sleep, mild exercise and you would be on a path of healing.

Unfortunately, in reality all this is very expensive and consumes your entire life. I have done all this, and it really works! Budget and time does not allow me to do it all, all the time, but the diet, supplements, prayer, and mild exercise are a  regular lifestyle for me now. The others I add in as treats. Best of luck in your healing path. You are on the right track!!❤
