Laser for glaucoma is only temporary to bring down your pressure. Your opthalmologist should have given you permanent eye drops.

but they said right now ,pressure is ok 10,11 .I checked 3,4 times since 6 months from different places. They told me your angle is very narrow so that they will do Laser.

Hi, I suffered Acute Angle Narrow Closure of the right eye - this was triggered by me taking a drug called Amitriptyline. I had to have emergency laser eye surgery literally to save my sight as the Eye Pressure was 58 and had crushed the optic nerve . That surgery was 3 years ago and I do not have to use any eye drops at all. The surgery worked and I have yearly checks on the pressure. I was told at the hospital in York that a certain eye shape, ie Eskimo, Chinese/Japanese/Asian, tend to have narrow drainage channels and as these close off the eye pressure mounts. I was fortunate that I got to a major hospital when I did as they only had a 2-4 hour window to stop me going Blind (the left eye would have followed the right I was told).

Did he tell you what your eye pressure is? It should be around 10 and if it goes over 20 then they use eye drops to bring it down before doing laser surgery. You need more information my friend as there are different types of Laser Eye Surgery and also depending on the eye pressure how soon they will perform it. The type of Glaucoma he says you have is quite rare and usually they like to deal with it quickly. Hope this is helpful. Let us know how you get on please.
