acute cholecystitis and constant stomach pain

Although not for myself am wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with acute cholecystitis and experiencing constant abdominal pain in both kidney area.  Other symptoms are pain in both shoulders. Originally started with pain in left shoulder, rapid heartbeat, pain in chest area. This moved down to the kidney area and for six weeks been constant.

Trips to A and E brought eventually the diagnose of acute cholecystitis but no explanation for other pain apart from it’s not connected to gall bladder. Other symtoms blood and white cells in urine.  Treated with antibiotics in case of infection, but made no difference.  The pain gets severe but sometimes slightly improves,  but never goes away.

Was told by one dr muscle pain,,

Boy are doctors stupid. If it's acute I think you need to prepare yourself for surgery. It is going to be worse as time goes on. You may have a bad infection in kidneys. I can't believe they told you that it was muscles. If you are excreting blood that really bad. You need help TAFF. HOPE YOU ARE VIGILANT ABOUT THIS. Good Luck.

    Taff

totaly in agreement with every word fernando has said.

but I will add if your in the U.K. and I presume your in Wales ?

like fernando has mentioned VIGALANCE !!!

please get your self to a and e and drive them crazy without getting yourself arrested of course .

as the nhs here really seem to sit on their hands with this issue for some people, and my palaver with the nhs went on for 3 years with the very same issue minus the blood and kidneys, but I went on to nearly dying of a puss filled gangrenous gallbladder and the good old nhs couldn’t have cared less , they left me to die and I darn near did.

had it removed privately in Harley street at a big cost, but with only hours to live .

the only benefit their was my surgeon was one of the very best and if the nhs done my opp ,

its likely you would not be reading this !!!

get the desperate help you need and get it now it’s not a joke diagnosis!!!

listen to fernando please, your life may very well depend on it.

    i wish you luck taff.

They will take her gall bladder out, but need to find out what the other pain is as would still be there they say after the removal.

I went to gp out of hours service one night with persistant pain in right handside,it was made worse by breathing, the doctor admitted me to hospital and i got taken for a scan and 20 minutes later a surgeon came to see me and said i had acute cholysystitis and he would see me in operating theatre in 30 minutes! My blood test had shown that my liver wasnt working due to gallbladder being full of stones and now inflamed ,the only way to get urgent treatment is via out of hours services..i was that irritable and in pain that i couldn't sit down...keep going back and force them to deal with it as when you leave it it makes recovery time longer,it took 11 weeks for me to return to work after the operation as it took that long for my liver to start working properly again and heal....i blame this on waiting times for a scan, got referred in the july for a scan and it wasnt til the december that my appointment was! I became that ill waiting that i actaully had my operation as an emergency 2 days before my scan date!...i wish you luck, keep using the gp service til they look at your record and realise they have to do something

She has been to our of hours Gp, A and E three times seen a consultant who suggested kidneys so awaiting  a scan now.  All the do is send her home with stronger pain killers which do not work.

I've been pi##ed around by the NHS for nearly 2 years. They just won't listen  or they're waiting until i drop.

I think they're waiting for the latter. I've never felt so i'll and they don't give a t#ss.

I've complained and persisted all this time and in the whole 2 years i've seen a  gastro once and a surgeon. I got referred back to the gastro who i see in November after waiting another 7 months and nearly a year since an ultrasound showed a thickened gallbladder wall and stone.

    Good luck to you👍
