Acute muscle and joint pain

I am writing on behalf of my wife. For the last few months she has been suffering from a lot of body pains, when I say a lot, it means a hell lot. We have consulted a couple of medical practitioners. The first one ordered some lab tests and the outcome was Vitamin D deficiency and a little spike in Uric Acid. Medicines were prescribed and she was cured tonan extent. For the last one month or so, her pains have relapsed, now even more vigorously. We did the same lab tests again and went to see a different doctor this time. The reports, this time, also suggested Vitamin D issue. This doctor prescribed some Vitamin D medicines and have asked to go for some additional tests. My wife has been taking these medicines for a week and a half now, with no relief from the vigorous pain. I feel terrible that I am not able to do anything to help her. What should I do?

The tests conducted thus far are Vitamin D (25-OH), Complete Blood Count, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, Uric Acid and Rheumatoid Factor - Quantitative. The second doctor has given the following tests to get done - Anti Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide Antibody, C - Reactive Protein Quantitative, Vitamin B12. I am yet to get the last one done, which is Anti Nuclear Antibody - Immunoblot get.
