acyclovir?

So today I went to the doctor because I'm almost positive I'm in the beginning stages of an outbreak and it took my doctor forever to decide to give me medicine. She originally said with out the blisters being present she can't do anything. But she ended up giving me acyclovir but the last time she gave me Valtrex. I'm a little concerned since Valtrex worked so well last time. I'm curious if acyclovir will work just the same or as fast as the Valtrex did.

I was on valtrex and acyclovir during my first OB and both were life savers. Acyclovir will help when if/when the blisters appear and they become painful. It can be really painful when urine passes over an open blister, so acyclovir helps alleviates that; also heels the OB a lot faster.

Are you in the UK? I did some reading on the different drugs out there recently, as I take 1000mlgs of valtrex daily and have about two mild obs twice a month and funny crawly nerve sensations and itching every day. I read that acyclovir was steonfwr than valtrex and had a higher percentage than valtrex, in cutting down viral shedding and risk of transmission. I think you'll be fine, but if it doesn't after a few days, call and say it's not working.

I'm in the US. I was just concerned I've never been so afraid of a pin before on my life I just want to keep the blisters away. It was so painful before I hope the acyclovir helps fast I'm on 400mg three times a day for 5 days.

Well, I can't tell you what obs feel like not on meds, but the obs I've had since my first bwinng on daily therapy are nothing. The sores have only ulcerated once and it's only been like one or two at a time. Usually when you pee, it'll just feel like you're super dehydrated and your pee is hot, but it won't hurt. Like I could rude a bike and workout still. Skin just felt when wiping, like it had a mild sunburn, that's all. Why do you think you're about to have an ob?of you're catching it before a sore has even appeared, then you should be good. .

You do however, need to get another doctor. She sounds very uneducated about heroes and if I were you, I'd have it to where you had a script on hand for any future obs. When was your last one?

My last one was about a month and a half ago. I think it's an OB because it's exactly how the first one started out burning, itching, soreness, and tingling.

Aahh.. OK . well, then I agree w you are you on your period or close to it? I have obs right before or while on my period every month. If that's the case, you may want daily therapy for awhile, until your immune system gets a better grip on it.

OK.. That's when it happens to me and then on the third day I'm on my cycle, it will actually hurt to insert or remove a tampon. And its cause I get a sore inside. Yiu may wanna request daily therapy, because even if you do ob on it, which not don't, they don't hurt really.
