Addicted to Zopiclone

Hi, I've been taking 2 x 7.5mg of Zopiclone a night for about 18 months. I'm not getting them from a doctor but buying them from someone who is prescribed them monthly. I've tried to get off them when the seller ran out for a week, but I felt terrible and must of had about 10 hours sleep all together in that week. What can I do to get away from this horrible drug

7.5mgx2 is rather heavy. All I can suggest is do a slow taper by reducing by half a tab weekly so's the impact wont be too severe. It wont be easy. Be patient Thomas, you'll get there. You dont want to be taking them for the rest of your life. All the best

Hi Thomas, I have been on a dose of 7.5mgs of zopiclone for 30 years, I am mid way of trying I repeat trying to get of it. So far my doctor has not been very helpfull but he has been in touch and is ringing me today. I do think you were foolish getting these tablets under the counter but when desperate we do silly things. If you can go to a doctor and admit what you have done they may help you with what they call a crossover drug. I don't want to tell you the actual names of the drugs but you can find them on the internet but please do not take these without help from your doctor and the doctor prescribing the crossover drug. It is a long hard struggle but do it correctly or you could be doing harm to yourself. Good luck .

Thomas, please do not buy this drug off the internet as it illegal. It is a prescription only drug.

If the drugs are coming from a different country you are then importing drugs into the country which carries a heavy penalty.

I am telling you this as an addiction forces you to do things you would normally do.

Please try and reduce your intake 15mg a night isca very high dose.

Keep posting. I know its not easy but we will help you as best,we can x

The person selling them is going need to be named if a doctor is likely to help you  as they are in essence a Drug Dealer.

GP really frown on this as abuse by the seller.
