Adding the time frame

Hi everyone

Because this forum is so good and a great place to check up on others experiences would it be possible to put how many weeks or days you are at the bottom of your posts?

Just a thought. I know i often read of someone's progress and wonder how far they've come smile

Happy weekend - hope you're all feeling good!

Hi susie I'm 13weeks and 2days and defiantly feeling the benefit. My main pain is like a burning on the inside, and if I do to much my knee feels very stiff.

I'm going to make An appointment next week to b referred to get my left knee done.

Good luck everyone, love reading your posts x

Goodness you are so brave getting another one done!

I'm not yet sure i would.

I'm 13+2 the same. Sleeping ok just waking to get another position.

No actual knee pain just the stiffness and soreness of complaining muscles around it.

I had vein surgery just before the TKR so what with a scar on the front and a scar on the back it does look like i had it chopped off and sewn back on lol

Hi suzi, not sure that I'm brave lol but my left knee is so painful i feel ill have to get it done.

My operated knee is so much straighter and I can stand without too much discomfort

Can't wait till I'm more mobile and independent and although I'm still limping im trying to go out without a stick. X

Glad to hear someone else gets that burning on inside of knee and loads of stiffness. I am 10 weeks and my leg feels very achey unless I am elevating.

I'm 18 weeks 3 days left TKR and I found this forum during one of the many sleepless post TKR nights (and still have) when I was in my second week and it's been my "life support".I don't think I'd have got through it without all the support and information - thank you! Although the swelling has gone down that only happened last week, and I still haven't managed a full nights sleep, but generally walking, movement etc has improved. Every day is different, sometimes pain free apart from a bit of stiffness, sometimes uncomfortable with clonking in the new knee, sometimes I yell out as it feels like a stapler is being applied to my knee, etc etc! It takes a long time to recover from this major surgery and one day I hope just to be able to accept my Stryker Triathalon knee as Glenda's knee!

I agree totally. This forum is a Lifesaver. I am 9 weeks post op and was thinking I was doing something terribly wrong not to be recovered by now. Then I found this. Forum. It was sooo reassuring to read others experiences and know I am "Normal"

Thank you to all you lovely people who are helping me through this horrendous time.  Jenny XX

    I'm 14 weeks +5 days.

I wish I'd found this forum at the beginning. My 1st 6 weeks were hell - like a lot of others, I thought I'd never see a light at the end of this tunnel, as the expected repair/recovery was a supposedly 6-8 weeks. Thank you all for the support, & being normal like me. Someone has switched the light on at the end of the tunnel, but they need to change the bulb, as it's only a 5w one & I need to see at least a 100w bright light!!

    I am 20 weeks and1 day.

Just got back from a two day break.

I drove there, 3 hours, walked around and drove all day yesterday, and drove home today.

I swam too. My knee hurt at the end of each day and was swollen, it hurt a bit in the nights too, but was good to go again in the morning.

Oh, bad news Peter, I hope it goes away soon. Try to keep up the exercises even if you are not feeling like it. I stopped doing mine for 10 days when I had a tummy bug, it put my knee back a lot.

      Get well

Thanks Caz, I usually recover fairly quickly. Have stopped all my meds since sat now so the daughter was kind enough to offer me a glass of wine.

hope thats legal at this stage. I been taking 1 day a week off exercises to help recover and think thats helped. I would imagine the stiffness will be on and off depending on activity for a while

So Glad to hear you are doing well.
