Adhedonia

Hi there

I used to have phimosis due to foreskin scarring (which was diagnosed by consultants) and was circumcised to deal with the problem. However the duration of the problem (phimosis) has left me with reduced penile sensitivity and ejaculatory adhedonia. I imagine this problem arose due to the compression of the glans within the tight foreskin possibly due to scarring around the nerves but I don't really know.

I'm not sure where to turn - urology, neurology, physiotherapy and only recently I have turned to the possibility of "andrology".

Am I right in thinking that elecrtomyography and MRI scans might help with diagnosis?

In terms of possible remedies my own research points to things like external neurolysis but the basic issue is I don't really know what is going on: what the problem is and can only speculate.

The biggest problem is I don’t know what branch of medicine deals with this.

Thanks
