Adjusting to Citalopram and having menstrual cycles...

Hey ladies,
I'm just putting this out there, because I can find nothing online and I've noticed it is kindof a big deal for me. I'm in my 7th week of adjusting to Citalopram (15mg). I have noticed improvements, especially in the last two weeks... increased energy, appetite, less intense anxiety in the mornings...I've been getting back to the office midday for several hours without feeling like I'm losing it.
However- I'm in my second menstrual cycle since I started this Citalopram journey, and for the three days before my period and throughout, I hit a wall with my Citalopram progress. I feel like all the anxiety and yucky feelings get intense again. I'm wondering, does anyone else experience this too? It feels so disheartening. Having your period makes you feel bleh naturally, but when going through this... it feels doubly worse because the anxiety and tiredness just goes through the roof again. Please, anyone chime in if this is familiar to you too? My appetite is also zapped again and mornings are a challenge.
Thank you!
