Looks like Google is picking up the wrong words for some reason, as cold, flu and anything related to nerves was mentoned - not even in the meta-tag either, I checked that as well.

Les.

I do, however, blame BT [my ISP] because yesterday, I was discussing alcoholics on this site, can't even remember what now! Today, I have special american meat emails, full of advice for alcoholics, so, I guess, tomorrow will have similar!

Just to answer a couple general points in here:
Les
"I seen that advert pop last night, but it had nothing to do with the keywords in the page... Looks like Google is picking up the wrong words for some reason"
The ad you are talking about is not a Google ad but a paid for slot hence it appearing on pages not directly related. You will also see others like this depending on who has paid for the slot.
Eileen/mrsmop:
"I had a post moderated the other day and I had no idea what I'd written that it might have been! They don't tell you either!"
If you want to know why something was moderated send me a PM and I'll let you know to avoid in future. I will not post in here why as spammers will pick up on the rules and try to get round as we have seen with the call girl posts suffered by mrsmop.
Regards,
Alan

As I mentioned above somewhere, I think an awful lot of my computer's little life, is down to BT - my ISP, yes, there is Google too but I seem to get spam based on the websites I visit or search for, including some of the topics that I comment on on this website and what I write on this website isn't picked up by Google but, presumably, BT.
I have a BT email address, which seems to receive a tremendous amount of spam and a gmail one which doesn't.

@mrsmop,
I used to be with BT, they are also part of Yahoo and also serve Yahoo Ads on various websites, but that should not be the case on here unless they have paid for a slot/zone.
I dropped my BT contract last month, because they kept promising BT Infinity would be in my area for over 18 months, it never arrived eventhough they did have it in the same road, but further up. So, I switched to Virginmedia - and took their Kahuma Bundle, okay it will cost more after 12 months, but it was better all round and they stop ads through their software which you can get for free, it blocks out all the things you dont want to see.
Regards,
Les.

Virgin isn't available where I live.
We are due to get Infinity next June and everything appears to be on target.
I no longer get ads, thanks to Eileen's AdBlock program. You ought to try it Les.

If Virginmedia isn't available then move to an area thats covered.hehe lol We got both, but BT is just so slow regarding broadband, we had something like 3-5Mb/second download, with Virginmedia I see 162Mb/second and an upload of around 11-12Mb. So, with broadband we get a much better connection plus we have NetFlix, in all rooms.
As for the AdBlock add-on I don't use it, I don't even use a stardard browser. It's far too easy to get an infected browser with all the main ones like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, etc.
What I use is a portable browser. I know that sounds strange, but if you want to protect your privacy online, then what I use stops people from tracking where I am. Basically, my browser is held on a USB stick and I also boot from the stick.
I have Tails and Tor installed on a USB stick - I dont see adverts unless I turn them on.
A brief description from their site: "It was originally developed with the U.S. Navy in mind, for the primary purpose of protecting government communications. Today, it is used every day for a wide variety of purposes by the military, journalists, law enforcement officers, activists, and many others. Here are some of the specific uses we've seen or recommend."
Regards,
Les.
