Can anyone let me know what their experience(s) were of increasing from 100 to 150 - good or bad! I feel like I have reached a bit of a lull and am not feeling like it's as effective as it first was. Also my head feels a bit funny, almost like a brain zap but not quite - does anyone relate to that? So I was thinking of increasing (well going to speak to Dr about it first!)

I used to be on citalopram and was on the highest dose of that.

    hi jane,

i am on 150mg increased from 100mg in september, it's the best decision i've made.

i feel so much better, didn't get that many side effects either from increasing the dosage and the difference in my moods and general happiness with life is so much better, can't rate it enough.  200mg is the max you can have of sertraline. i was on on 100mg for 6-8 weeks, constantly up and down from one day to the next, it was awful but now i've found that 150mg is deffinately the right dose for me, i feel 100% better, i'm pretty much back to my normal self now :-)

Thanks Ginermac, I know you have mentioned before that 150mg was more beneficial - I am hoping to try it. Do you think doctors will be okay with upping my dose? Hoping to go next week.

      Thanks

      Jane

Can you recall how long it would have been before you noticed an improvement when you changed from 100mg to 150mg

I dont believe it took very long, maybe a few weeks.

Thanks, have you been able to remain on the 150mg or have you had to increase again?

Hi, I have stayed on 150mg and have been on this dose for about 12 months.

Did you notice a big improvement from changing from 100mg to 150mg

Not a big improvement as such but there was some improvement, felt less depressed and a bit more 'with it' if that makes sense!

Hi just wondering if you increased from 100mg to 150mg of Sertraline and if so did it take long for you to notice any change

Why did you stop Citalopram? Do you feel better on Sertraline? I was on Citalopram for years, had a break in June, after a few months I experienced panic attacks and anxiety came back, worse than before. Dr asked if I wanted to try Sertraline, I was on 50mg for about 6 weeks, then increased to 100mg 2 weeks ago....
