Just looking for some advice really. Last summer I started getting pains in my arms and legs (dull aches, stabbing pains, throbbing pains and pins and needles). Went to the doctors and if I'm honest I think she thought I was making it up (wouldn't mind but I never go to the doctors). Finally she did some blood tests last December and they all came back clear. They were for lupus, thyroid, arthritis plus many more. Since then I now have the same pain but I also now get it in my back and chest. I do get restless leg syndrome with it but more at night and I am always so tired. I do find I am stiff in the mornings but once I'm moving it does ease. I have recently noticed that sometimes my skin feels as though I have a bruise but there is nothing there. I have recently been back to my doctors who has redone all the blood tests again from previous and they have all come back clear apart from folate so I need to see him about that on Monday. I haven't actually been diagnosed with fibromyalgia yet as still waiting to see if my doc will send me to a rheumatologist. Just wondering if this sounds like it and if others have the same symptoms
Thanks

like you I had lots and lots of blood tests to rule out this and that, I felt like a sieve at one point! It took months for me to have the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and even now I am waiting for the next stage of diagnosis for Sjorken's syndrome, but that seems to be the process! It does sound from what you say that Fibro is a strong possibility,a lot of my symptoms are similar to what you say, but so many illnesses seem to cross over each other, I would NOT want to say for sure! My advice is go back to your GP and perhaps ask for a referral to rheumatology or CMAT if they work in your area.
ultimately, they are the only ones who can say for sure!
Keep going back, until you are happy everything has been done for you. Good luck and take care.

Everything you have said is what im going through now. To be honest i think mine started a long time ago im 27 just turned a few weeks ago. I think it started about 3 years ago i thought maybe it was just me getting older and cus i have put on weight again etc. But you need to find a doctor who will listen to you i did luckily after visiting many. They try and fob you off. All my bloods came back normal everytime and ive had countless also. Im always tired even if i sleep right through or for hours n hours. Ive not felt non tired for years now i dont remember the last time i woke up and thought wow i feel ready for the day. Have your doctors said whats next for you? Xx

Thank you all so much for your responses. I am going back to my doctors today to see what he is going to do next. They seem to think just cos you actually look okay there is nothing wrong. If I walked in wrapped in bandages he would bloody take me serious lol These past few days I've also started to get really bad pains in between my ribs. When I first got it I panicked as it was just on my left side near my heart. I've looked it up and it comes up with costochondritis and its where the cartilage inbetween yours ribs inflammation. It also says people with fibro do get this. Has anyone else had this pain at all? Lately it has started to get me down and sometimes I find myself really snapping at people as the constant pain gets on my nerves. I think speaking on here to others who have it will help me as will learn how to deal with it. I tried the Epsom salts last night as heard that's good so hopefully that will ease it abit after a few times. Today mine isn't too bad but when I get a flare up I just want to bury myself x

Yeah it's a horrible pain to have. When I first got it last week I was sat at work and freaked out but then it passed. I woke up again with it Saturday and it just didn't go so Saturday evening I rang the nhs helpline to see if I could get an out of hours doctors appointment. Well that was a nightmare as the minute I said it was my chest area on the left side they sent an ambulance round my house even though I said I don't need one and if a doctor could ring me back that would be fine. How embarrassing. Well after all that I know it's not my heart lol In all honesty I haven't noticed if it's worse on my monthly as only started getting it for the first time last week but will keep an eye on it to see if it does. I hope you feel better today x

Yeah it's rubbish isn't it. Doctors make you feel like you are making it all up. As if we would all pretend we have these pains all over our bodies. Well I hope you get to the bottom of it. I'm going back to my doctors tonight so hopefully he will refer me x

So I went to my doctors and he is going to refer me to a rheumatologist ☺️ He did keep saying there is no need for me to see one as all my blood tests are fine and if there was a problem my blood would show it. Like I told him that's good my tests all came back good but there must be a reason why I get all these pains. I had to battle with him as he said maybe I just have to live with it and I kept saying I'm not prepared to accept that so eventually he said he would. I was determined I was not leaving until he did. My persistence finally paid off. Now you need to get a referral and hope you do x
