Can a cyst turn cancerous if left??
My belly is bloated and crampy for the last month now, same time I stopped taking the contraceptive pill , is it a coincidence ? Or is it the cyst? I only found out about my cyst last week but now I don't no if I'm getting pain from that?? Or am I getting cramps and bloating a month in from stopping the pill that I was on for 4 years?? I haven't had a period in a month either where as before I was regular!
Please help me

It's probably because you've come off the pill and possibly ovulating and getting ready for a period. The cyst can cause bloated feelings too. I had one removed in April. No periods for me as I'm post menopausal but cyst was a simple one and all the biopsies came back clear. Hope your gynae is going to look at it and hopefully remove! Is it large or small?

Not to my knowledge! When the CA 125 test report comes back it will indicate a problem if it's above 35 I think but it does not mean cancer! It can mean endometriosis which is nasty but treatable. What is your age? Most cysts are not cancer but there are several different types. Look at top of this page in red, ovarian cysts and click on that. It will lead you to a page with all the info you need. Please try not to worry, difficult I know but most cysts are normal, simple ones. They can be removed easily by keyhole surgery, minimal scarring and discomfort, back to normal quite quickly. I had a salpingo oophrectomy, which removed ovaries, tubes and cysts. I asked for this as I'm now 73 and have no need of ovaries now.
If you're younger and don't want to have ovaries removed I'm sure the surgeon will take into account your age etc and make a care plan accordingly. We all worry and think the worst, you're not alone there but try not to. Read some of the other posts and don't dwell on cancer, it's the least likely especially if you're a young person.
