Hey all,

Just wanting some input and advice. I have just had bloods done and GP wanted to test me for Lupus, as I have the facial rash, painful achy joint and bones, fatigue and gastrointestinal issues. I got my bloods back this morning and I'm confused. My GP didn't explain anything just referred me to a specialist is rethumitoid or whatever it spelt lol.

It says the following abnormalities showed as follows..

- Weak positive ANA 1:160 speckled pattern

- Anti ds DNA Equivocal result of 13 - ESR above range 42

- Vitamin D below range 11

Then below in comments it says

As of 15/07/2011 ds-DNA antibodies are screened by EliA assay.

Positive EliA are confirmed by Modified Farr assay.

Can anyone help me understand this. I'm really confused. Am I get tested for lupus? If so what are the chances csuse I didn't even know that was a thing until this morning. 😕

    Your ANA Anti-Nuclear Antibodies also ESR Erythrocite Sedimentation Rate and dsDNA are all positive...the Rheumatologist will confirm a diagnosis of Lupus at your appointment going by your blood test results and symptoms...best wishes....

      Thanks Lilian, appreciate your response. I'm nervous haha. I wasn't sure want lupus was until recently and it doesn't sound fun at all! Guess I'll wait and see what the specialist says. Thanks. 😚

    hi sam..its no prob ur titer its not big its mean u can remition soon ....i got my titer 1/100 and i had remition but thats not mean we free from lupus coz still i not recovery deases still comming to me...now i get cyst sinus frontalist on my head will operation and opname in sunday for treat fast track sleep endoscopy....pray for me....the important dont be panic....just through this life with cooling down ..

      Nervous about seeing the specialist, I wasnt sure what this disease was now it's all I can seem to think about haha. I'll just wait and see what the specialist says.

      i think its doesnt matter about name of lupus or no coz event i had remisi stkll deases coming and some docter said i got seronegatif lupus its cant detect by laboratory test its just csn be seen by deases coming often with different deaseas just can be seen by clinical test...like 3 months ago i just finish from recovery skin tumor the result pathalogy told that i got granulomatousa cronic and now i got cyst in sinus frontalis on my head...start again for fight and try be accepted wht God give to me..hehehe  coz if we stress or un accepted willbe more worse..wht i did just preventif if deases coming with pain i feel
