Advice about lymph node again

Hello... I get a swollen node on my left side right under the jaw line.  Sometimes I will eat something and it will just sell up really big.  The size like the top of a golf ball.  It's so weird. Before it use to just swell little but the last 2 times it got really big and fast.  Under my tongue would start to feel weird and it felt like the  skin or muscles under my tongue would get tight then the noDE will swell. I went to the doctor about it and egg said nothing to worry about you probably just trying to fight off an infection.  And  asked when was the last time I went to the dentist.  Which was a month b4. So I know it's not my teeth.

If your talking about nodes under your chin (Submental nodes) then your not alone! For as long as i can remember for me these nodes on both sides have been large, firm, painless and movable. My GP was just like "meh" nothing to worry about as long as they don't grow bigger and bigger over time. These nodes apparently do ALOT of work for most people, charged with filtering the lower part of the mouth, teeth etc so this i quite a common complaint accoriding to what i've read. Remember cuts, ulcers and injurys to the inside of your mouth aswell as some bacteria that could be in in there mean these nodes have to be active alot. The fact that yours swells and then recedes back down i'd say is a pretty good sign its just doing its normal duties fighting infection. Keep an eye on it but seriously don't let it worry you! See your doctor again if it grows and grows but its quite possible its a node thats just along for the ride!
