Advice/encouragement needed

looking for some advice or encouragement. I was put on citalopram after having bad anxiety after getting covid around 14 weeks ago. was on 20mg then moved up to 30mg around 10weeks ago .i was feeling completley back to normal till about 2 weeks ago when i was on my period and then feeling a bit anxious but it was manageable and it stopped. For about 3 days now ive been feeling very anxious again, horrible pit in my stomach and thinking about it constantly. ive read about having blips but im so scared im going back to the way i was before (not being able to work, eat, sleep, look after my 2 year old daughter because i was in such a high state of anxiety/brain fog etc). I guess my question is should i speak to a doctor and ask for a higher dose or should i ride it out? and if i should ride it out how long for? the last time i rang the doctors they just offered me sleeping tablets and i had to ask for a higher dose of citalopram. he didnt ask me any questions at all so i dont have much faith.

absolutely ride it out. dips/setbacks are the worse.. it took me a year to get rid of the setbacks. you need to learn to accept them and understand you will get through them.

youre on the right dose otherwise you would have not been feeling great previously.

i was so poorly with anxiety and im now tapering off 2 years later.. if you want any more info message me.

thank you for replying. i keep telling myself its just a blip and it will pass but its terrifying 😢 i will keep riding it out. i only thought about it last night but i started taking a new brand of 20mg on Tuesday as my normal pharmacy didnt have any so i had to get some from a different one. do you think this could have anything to do with it?
