Advice needed 😩

I’m 47 and had a hysterectomy 7 years ago.....it’s taken this long for my doctor to agree to HRT ive previously been prescribed antidepressants to counteract the effects of menopause but can deal with the insomnia it causes. I have been prescribed Elleste solos MX 40 patches, when the lady cave them to me at the pharmacy she told me she gain 2 stone in 2 months on this medication and it did not relieve her symptoms. Has anyone had the same problem or indeed any success with this medication.
Look forward to hearing from you ladies.
Sam 😊

I have just gone back on elleste solo mx 40 patches, was on them for a year before my doctor changed them for a combi patch.. I didnt gain any weight and had no problems at all when i was on them last time so have opted for a mirena coil for the progesterone and the elleste patch. For the past 6 months have been on everol combi and found this wasnt suitable for me. Give it a try and see how you go i find its all trial and error until you find what suits you.

I’m also on Ellest solo patch 40, never tried anything else because I’m happy on that.  No weight gain and menopause symptoms minimal.Â
Not very professional of the pharmacy lady!Â
I’m sure you will be ok on them, give them a try xÂ

This medication must be prescribed by a specialist
Blood testing is required to determine if there is a somatotropin (growth hormone, GH) deficiency
The dosage must be carefully calculated to the body’s needs
Other medical conditions must be discussed before treatment is prescribed to ensure that there are no health issues that could make the receipt of this therapy dangerous

Just a quick update.
Sadly I have gained 1 Stone in as little as two months 😞 I’m hoping this will balance out and it’s just my body getting used to the changes. On a brighter note, no hot flushes, joints not so achey, more happy 😃 and sex drive improved. So lots of positives..... does anyone have the answers to the weight gain, not eating any differently.
