Advice needed please.

Hi I'm here on behalf of my DH who has been diagnosed with Fibro for probably over 10 years. He has battled thus far using painkillers and rest, but recently he has become totally fatigued, so much so that at times he can't even sit in the reclining chair or finish his meal. The effort of chewing wears him out.

He sleeps forever and of course wakes unrefreshed but also physically unable. He is now beginning to worry a lot as you can imagine. He works part time and the work entails light physical. This is now becoming almost impossible. One day of work = 4 days in bed. In the past he has also had thyroid issues

We have just moved and are with new G.P's Previously we have received little suggestion or treatment. We have to call the G.P tomorrow to request a telephone appointment. The first thing he is going to ask for is blood tests for his thyroid. Should those come back okay, then obviously his symptoms may point to an escalation of Fibro. Where do we go from there. What do we ask for? He has seen a Rheumy in the past, to no avail. Are there Fibro specialist doctors who consult? This is quite a serious situation for us as our accommodation is linked to our posts so if my husband can't work we're basically homeless too.
