advice needed please

for years I have had trouble with different muscles being sore. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year but this past week has been horrendous my energy is very low

few weeks ago I had numbness in my face like I had an dental injection it was like a line had been drawn on my chin and the left side on lip,chin and upto my cheekbone felt exactly like the effects of that jag

lately I seen 2 be losing control of my bladder and when I need 2 go I need go right away or lose it

I have been in bed for days with sore muscles and a headache my muscle on shoulders are sore when I move my head

I also have at times blurred vision mainly just paper reading but I just thot I was gettin old and needed glasses but that would be all the time this comes and goes

does this sound like fibro or could this be MS I had a 5mins app with a rumy and now I just think no I am not happy nothing else was checked

    also I had had what I hear people call the ms hug where it feels like my bra strap is far 2 tight at the bottom this has only happened about twice over the years

    I have never said to the doctor about the face numbness either as it went away after about 1hr

    Your symptoms sound very MS-like, especially the Hug. I would recommend you take these symptoms to your doctor, and ask for an MRI to be done. This, plus a Lumbar Puncture and full bloodwork will help indicate if you have MS.

      thanks for the reply painefury I have the gp I'm the morning so I will ask about an mri if not I will go private I was wrongly diagnosed with another health issue for 10yr so it does happen

      the thing with me is I hate sounding like a hypecondreact so I say very little but I need to say as it's been the worst few weeks ever and no sign of lettin up yet

      dhydrocodene, tramadol, strong Co codamols taken at different times but no relief from any them feels like I am at the end of ma tether with it now

    You sound like me Chris. I am going back to GP in morning. My blood

    showed low vit D again and my left leg weakness is continuing so I hope she refers me to the neurologist and I get an MRI. Have to persevere.

      I think because of how I have been the last few weeks I am going with an attitude of look enough is enough I want a 2nd opinion

      I was off work for 2wks went back and couldn't even finish my shift so had 2 go home now I am off another 4wks it's startin to get me down

    I know what you mean 😦 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 12 years ago but really think I was misdiagnosed. Either that or things have developed. I hope you get some help.

      Katie they say there is no progression with fibro I beg to diff as I was able to enjoy my own kids but some days I can't lift my grandson that's when I went to the doc as that upset me not being able to carry him

      right now I am still in bed and my muscles are painfully sore my legs feel like I've ran miles but in reality I've did nothing

      I know when this is going to happen though as a cup of tea in my hand makes it shake like I have a heavy weight and that started 2wks ago

      aaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggg so frustrated

    I went to GP this morning she is referring me urgently to a neurologist

    and I have to go to the eye clinic tomorrow. Fingers crossed it wont be

    too long for an appointment. How did you get on?

      Hi Katie

      she has refered me back 2 a nuro that specialises in MS they did an examination in the surgery testing the reflexes and she said that went ok but I felt my right side wasn't as strong as my left

      she has said try not to worry about MS 2 much as she doesnt think its that and also said fibro does get worse I wish they would make there mind up

      hope all is ok at eye clinic tmrw it's a worry but at least u will find out what's happening

    Hi Chris, thanks for your message. I had a 2 1/2 hour wait at the eye clinic but all was found to be ok. Just waiting for the neuro referral now.
