Please can someone help me. I’m in panic zone.

At present I’m looking after my mums house in rural Greece and it’s really hot- way to hot for me! I’ve been here for 8 days so far another 6 to go.

Before I came away I had the worse cold sore I had ever had in my life and was put on antivirals. This has now cleared up.

Last week I woke up scratching down below as i was so hot and I now think I’ve transferred it down below. It’s not sore but looks horrific. I’m on my own no doctor to see I’m just reading from from internet and trying to do my best.

But now I’m panicking that I’m doing the wrong thing. It’s really stressing me out and in this heat it’s now making my excema go really bad - so I’m miserable.

I have Zovirax cream. I have fucidin cream for my skin. I have pure tea tree oil. I have bicarbonate soda ( but this stung like hell) I have cornflour.

I’m trying to dry it out but battling as I’m sweating all the time - it’s like a vicious circle.

I would have thought going in the sea would be good for it but I’m now just getting paranoid that I’m doing too much.

When I was 17 after a terrible event in my life I was hospitalised and had to have a caffita for 3 days as I’d been diagnosed with genital herpes and was so swollen and couldn’t wee. I have never had an outbreak since and I’m now 41 but obviously this is concerning me greatly.

I feel so alone please can someone just give me some peace of mind or any advice that might be able to help me for the next few days till I’m home.

Thanks in advance (picture included as I’ve never seen anything like this before)

It is probably a second outbreak of the herpes, it can be years between outbreaks and some people never get another.

Any of my outbreaks have always been while my body is run down in another way so it could be because you've had a nasty cold sore and being hot and bothered won't help.

It looks like it's healing well, not inflamed etc so don't worry. If it's not cleared by the time you get home you could see a doctor but I order antivirals online now to save making an appointment.

do you have any idea on how long it usually takes to clear up from the picture/this stage - thanks

Sorry for taking so long to reply I was in a meeting.

My outbreaks usually clear up within a week, that looks well on its way to being cleared it doesn't look open and sore and you can see new skin growing around the edges.

Yes just keep what you're doing, I have salt baths but I guess the sea is exactly that!

Not nice to have but at least you don't have any pain this time

Id say it looks like an outbreak.

You dont have to go too crazy for treating it!

If you can, warm bath with Epsom salt helps relieve symptoms and dries it out.

Tea Tree oil is also good.

If you have any lavender essential oils, mix that with the salt, it has natural healing properties.

I did a lot of loose pants or shorts and keeping my legs open (i looked like a man the way i sat lol).

For my last 2 outbreaks, i havent done much other than my antivirals to help the healing.

Your body will fight it on its own as well, so it will clear up whether you do anything or not (:
