Hi i am 32 Male just been diagnosed with AS i only really get a little bit of Sacroliac joint pains, i had an MRI scan and it showed it was in my sacroliac joints worse in my right side. my DR has told me to do 20 mins per day stretches very important! i also socially smoke so she told me i really need to stop that, i also ride my excersise bike a bit. but i have seen a lot about diets she never mentioned any of this to me. just some advice from people about anything would be greatly appreciated and the best things to do and things to avoid. thanks Dan.

Hi, that's a very good point about diet. I am quite new to the group and would also find any dietary advice helpful.

I amno expert but as it is an autoimmune condition and most of immunity comes from you gut, diet is very important. Anything that badly effects your digestion will not help. I am trying gluten free and no diary. Its not as hard to do as I intially thought it would be. Who knows it may be hleping. I agree stretch as much as you can, I know it isnt easy on bad days. All the best to you both.
