Advice on benefits

I generally talk about my sons health but id like any advice on benefits that i may be able to get for myself , im currently on carers allowance as im a full time carer for my son but over the past year or so my health has gone right down my asthma is out of control im now been seeing a specialist at the hospital he trying to get it under control with inhalers he has said if they dont work I'll have to have injections every week as he has put me on copd medication ive also found out last year that my tiredness is down to an under active thyroid so im on medication for that and that my vitamin k , is extremely low all the time my joints are in pain eveyday which they say is one the symptoms of the thyroid conditions im at my wits end so to speak , i feel so depressed

    HI,

    PIP maybe a possible but it's not awarded based on any diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activities based on the PIP descriptors. You can search google for those descriptors, links can't be posted here.

    Evidence will be needed to support your claim because they rarely contact anyone for this. Evidence you send should state how your conditions affect you against those descriptors.

    Successful claims can take several months under normal circumstances. These times are not normal so times could be extended.

    For any other benefits then it totally depends on your circumstances, such as living with a partner that works. With very little information it's impossible to advise.
