i have posted on here before, the first month is pretty awful ( i noticed things like dry mouth etc) and caffiene made them alot worse.
however 4 months on they have made a massive difference no anxiety, and am only 22 and mines was trigered by sore heads from a rugby injury and am only on 50mg aswell. so try stick with them a wee while longer thats my advice.

I went on sertraline - only latest 5 days - i had all your symptoms - ended up in a and e and they put me on a strong dose of diazepam to calm me down. doc took me off it the next day as i said i couldnt handle it and ow on fluoxetine - which so far so good…
22 days is a long time to deal with those symptoms for
Have you tried beta blockers fro your gp for the physical symptoms?

I've had agoraphobia for over 20 years. Was given sertraline in the summer of 2013. The first 2 months or so was absolute hell, but I'm now on 200mg of the stuff and things are really improving. My advice would be stick at it, it is a hard drug to cope with at first, but eventually it really does help!

Thanks Rhys for your comment so glad they are helping you with your anxiety.
Zoe great news. They have started to work for you .
No one understands how awful it is to feel like this . Anxiety makes the dizziness worse
I will continue for awhile longer as I have made it to 3 weeks following your advice .
Glad fluoxetine is helping you .is it another med for anxiety ? Deb x

The side effects have reduced a little and with encouragement from others on here i'm going to stick with them. I'm on 50mg.

I have been on Sertraline for nearly 3mths now and yes the side effects are awful. I still have the side effects now, but they are not as bad as the first month. Also the doctor has just increased my strength to 150mg and every time the strength goes up the side effects come back ten times worse.
I am going to stick with this drug as it can only get better can't it & also the support & advice on here has really helped me through it.
I would try you're best to stick with them if you can.
Best of luck, take care.
