advice please.

a have been on sertraline 50mg for 4 weeks now into my second week on 100mg a feel things are getting a lot better it is just the headaches at times are quite svere am havinng to take strong pain killers a know it is a side effect but are they meant to be so severe or should i go to the doctors ????.

    Hi John,

    It's best to talk to your doctor about any potential side effects that are interferring with the benefits of the medication. I may have shared with you already on another post that 100mg has brought me random headaches too so I would be interested in other people's experience & any advice given by a doctor.

    I'm glad that your general health is improving so much though, except for this downside. Keep up the good work :-)

      hi digsby and thanks for your reply yes a remember your good advise it was about buzzing i think but although i still have that it does not bother me as much just the headaches but the improvement is really good otherwise anxiety low sleeping better eating good overall life is better got the doctors soon over a week a will let you know what he says take care.

      Hi John, pleased to read you're generally feeling life is better, sounds like you're on the up, apart from the headaches 😒

      I read somewhere that Sertraline can dehydrate the body and this can be one reason for the headaches, obvious more fluid intake may help.

      hi blu02 thanks for your reply it does help when there are people on here who understand i am nearly there and i think if it was not for this site and the people on it i would have gave up you could be right about sertraline can dehydrate the body a tried a couple of drinks with my brother but i felt worse i had to come home the wrong type of fluid give that a miss for a while anyway take care.
