can anyone here share thoughts on what this redness may be? I am concerned that it may be herpes and will probably get tested for all STIs but wanted to read some thoughts beforehand.

last unprotected sex was early last week and we did use a disposable fleshlight (my first time)

concerned about herpes because I feel like i can see some bumps forming on the shaft around the wrinkles but if i stretch the skin out, they disappear.

it gets worse after showers and masturbation.. it looks really red then.

no pain whatsoever.. feel some itchiness if i keep the foreskin retracted

thanks

looks somewhat similar to what i have,

from my understanding that looks nothing like herpes at all.

i would suspect, yeast infection or balantis and if it persists with plaques it could be something like lichen planus.

That is exactly what i have or had, watch my post so u can see how i might have cured this. so i just every time after i peed dry my penis carefully and after masturbation and in general i washed my penis carefully with water. i think this is balanitis. How is it now?

Primary HSV outbreak would usually come with pain, swelling, fever, swollen lymph nodes around the genital region, sometimes leg pain, burning sensation, among others. This does not appear to be herpes. Relax 😃

    hey,

thanks to all for replying.. so it has been getting better, definitely not as red as before. Instead of washing with soap, for the past couple of days I've been washing the area with water and gently patting it with a towel to dry. the redness has definitely subsided alot, although there is still some redness in some patches at times.

it seems that it may have been a combination of soap and friction from the towel
