advice please anyone

hi all need some advice i have had terrible anxiety for 12 months i'm on propranolol 10mg 3 times daily for anxiety i had been on sertraline for 5 days had to go down doctors today as having horrible side effects also suicidel thoughts she told me to discontinue them as of today and told me to start citalopram 10mg tommorrow what i want to know is will i get any side effects as i've only been on them 5 days also what is worrying me is that i thought citalopram treated depression i dont have that its anxiety as i was told it will not help me as i dont have depression i'm now confused anyone with any info would be appriciated
