Advice please on a Bartholins Cyst Marsupialisation

I had a bartholins cyst marsupialised 2 weeks ago and I really wasn't told what to expect afterwards, healing wise. When I saw my surgeon at the beginning of this week, he said the healing externally was looking good but swabs showed I have a small infection internally so have been put onto antibiotics. The thing is, I'm still so uncomfortable! I've had a look this morning and I can see what looks like black bruising inside the vagina... would that be right? and everything still feels pretty sore?
