Hiya Katylynn. I am not an expert but have gone through a difficult time myself. I have had psychosis and been sectioned twice. If you dont mind me asking what is his current condition (eg. anxiety etc?) and I am unsure what you mean by awful frequencies in his eyes?

It is difficult in hospital as you are in an unfamiliar environment but the love and support of my family was so benificial and appreciated by me so my main advice would just be to be there for him, and try to stay positive and hopeful that this will pass in time.

In my case I have found energy healing, (reflexology in particular) with a lady who also does a counciling type thing to be really beneficial. I dont know if you are open to using alternative therapies but flower essences (bach, etc- rescue remedy is good if you are having a crisis and I find it really calms me down) and crystals etc might be worth considering? Lately I have been trying to do mindfulness and have found that this seems to help my overall wellbeing. I was given a mindfulness colouring book which is quite theraputic too. I have found that trying to eat halthily, cutting down on alcohol (now Ive stopped drinking completely) and not smoking help, saying positive affirmations such as "I am safe" do help. I imagine myself in a protective blue bubble and ask my gardian angel to help and protect me, and archangel Michael, who is a healing and protecting angel.

To be honest I dont know of any way to affect or reduce those physical symptoms other than generally try reduce those medications over time if it is safe/possible.

I am sorry I cant be of more help and I really hope that he gets better soon

Thank you for reply he has been in a rehab for a year now but the meds not fully working and I don't know what he means by eye frequency as he cannot explain it but always happens within 2 days of his cell injection I will discuss all the things you suggested as he was stable for 11years on just 10mg olanzapine it was when they changed him to sell 18 month ago it went wrong been back on it now for 6 week so hoping for improvement thanks again Katy

hi Katylynn, I am so sorry to hear about your son. What is sell, if the sell is causing the problem then I would get him off it as soon as possible, wean him off slowly. I have gone off olanzipine i did this within 4 weeks and i have gone cold turkey off my other drug too. I eat really healthy, exercise each day and I mediate each morning and I feel great

! I take magnesium tablest every 4 hours to treat my anxiety and my mild schizophrenia, it is a magnesium gycinate form which is the most easily absorbable. I would also slowly over time wean him off olanzipine it will eventually stop working as happened to me and causes irritability and i had this terrible watery eye that watered nearly all day long. It is going away now. I would stop the cell injections, what is a cell injection? I would also recomend that u look up the side effects of olanzipine it is one of the many evil drugs that are on the market. U can treat your son naturally with natural supplements and good diet and lifestyle. I also don't drink or smoke. U can do this together with your son and I am here to support u and give u any helpful advice. I have been thru it all they have put me on an antidepressant in the past which caused terrible body shakes and tremours so i went off that cold turkey and I have also been on valium for 3 months and i also went off that cold turkey.

Olanzipine makes u dull that's why I always hated it, I am vibrant and happy now.

Really sorry to confuse you my tablet did cell it should say as the first post said he is on 600mg Clopixol Depo Injection every 2 week plus 15mg of Olanzapine daily for 11 years he was very well no hospital admissions on 10 mg Oolanzapine only, they took him off Olanzapine and on to Clopixol depo that was when he became unwell, As I said in ealier message he is sectioned to a Private Rehab through the NHS he has been there 1 year and is going worse not better due to the amount of street drugs that are being brought in the unit NOT BY HIM as he only has escorted leave but due to him being so over medicated as he says he feels I do believe he is taking street drugs in there to make him feel normal for a short time only they make things worse long term, they know about the problem but cannot stop it as they are not allowed to search the patients who have leave when they return, £160,000 a year per person in this rehab and he is going worse not better

      Hi Hannah

I have just read your lovely positive reply to Katylynn and I just wanted to tell you that I also believe in alternative medicine but do you think it depends on the level of your phycosis? My story is a sad one too my son Michael has been sectioned a few times and 3 month admissions in mental health hospitals. He is 24 handsome fit beautiful young man heart of gold but his suffering with this horrible illness schizoaffective disorder like many others. He hates the medication he has to take and has self medicated with illicit drugs to feel normal but after he feels guilty and more depressed for taking drugs. He stopped all meds last year and eat healthy stopped drinking and didn't want to smoke much either. Then bang he took sone cannabis and relapsed back into hospital on all the meds again. His present state is his suffering from anxiety and depression he looks well because his on a new generation drug called risperidon consta and it has less side affects than clopixol which he was on before. Also He takes aripiprizole 5 mg a day and just started floroxitin anti depressents. His eyes hurt and he has pupil dilatation which is bothering him and his very anxious. Im thinking of trying to see a private psychiatrist only its 7 years now and we seem to not be getting anywhere. Michael hasn't helped hisself by taking drugs but if you feel so ill I suppose you just want to feel normal and unfortunately theses evil drugs seem to work but cause so much damage and make phycisos worse.im so depressed myself and exhausted with the worry all the time any advice would be much appreciated .

      Thanks josey
