Advice/support/experiences please-ovarian cysts?
Posted , 12 users are following.
I have cysts on both sides. left hand side about 11cm, right hand side 10cm.
I am being sent for an "urgent" MRI in 7 days. Rather worried how I will stay still for a whole hour all by myself in the MRI? Any tips please?
Then I go back to the consultant the week after to see if they are cysts or cancerous and how we will treat them.
I am having dizzy spells where I feel that the world is turning to the right. Constant back pain that feels like something is pressing on my back which makes me feel like I need to go poo.. Gassiness. I can feel the cysts as painful lumps from the front too. My stomach is hard and stretched.
I'm feeling very tired from the discomfort and worry.
My appetite is still pretty normal.
Sex is a little painful in certain positions as my tummy is tender and I can't fold up my body properly. I'm not able to move as easily.
They have been "watching" the cysts for 2 years now and have seen them grow from 5cm to 7cm to 11cm. Only now are they doing something about it.
My Ca125 test was 31 six months ago, it is now 37.
I'm very anxious and on edge.
I have no idea what the 'cysts' are made of though my last report said they have a "mild vascularity".
Also, I am diabetic and I have PCOS.
Any advice or support ladies? I need it to get through this uncertain time.

I would ensure I know exactly what that sedative medicine that caused your heart issue so you always makesure there wont be a mistake in the future by anathetist giving you the same one cause I tell you that mistake happens. When I had my operation I made sure to let anaesthesist and all medical staff that my body doesnt respond well to morphine. It saved my life otherwise I might not wake up after my operation I would have thought. The first time I was given the minimum dose of morphine when I used to go to ER for severe pain. I went to almost unconscious within a minute with just a small dose IV. Imagined if I didnt tell them that prior my surgery. My heart would have stop pumping maybe if they gave me more than minimum dose of morphine. Thank God for that wisdom he gave me to pick that up and let them know. I just want to remind you to always to remind them even if you think they know because sometimes medical staff can miss things and you wouldnt want that. I would ask what was the medicine and will remind them prior your upcoming surgery.

I can't believe they want to try it again after what happened to your heart? Who would want to try it again? I found prayer made the difference in my major operation I strongly believed because I just found out the next day post operation that a different surgeon did my surgery. Thank God for the patient and trust that i had in God. I am convinced he was present with surgeon operating on me cause it's been over one month and I am getting better by the day with good diet and walking more. And no abnormalities or sign of cancer except relating to endometriosis. My operation and test result was truly a miracle I believe. My initial symptoms most people I had contacted who had such issue thought my case need urgenot attention as it sounds cancerous but everything was tested and come back no sign of cancerous. I am glad the the cysts are removed and other things. GOD of the bible is a miracle God if you ask in faith. Amen. Sorry for the long write I thought if might help cause I truly experience this.

I am in work and mega worn out. I have to make my explanations today... I think the majority of people were not too pleased that I was away for the week and didnt even have my surgery done Oh well. My head hurts and I'm tired and they are lucky I am here. I am wondering how on earth I am going to make it back to the hospital tomorrow. for my cardiac app.

Mary,
Be sure to ask about your continued headache tomorrow. Can't believe your work is being so idiotic. You're not a hypochondriac! You had a serious medical episode. You health is foremost. Tell them you are grateful they aren't going through what you are.
I had a lot of cutting comments about my surgery at work too. Not that you don't have enough stress already.
Stay strong and ignore the attitudes.

For the last couple of days I have been in agony with the cyst on my left hand side. I am hoping that it is due to ovulation and it will stop hurting soon. I have been wondering if to go to A&E but I so dont want to waste more time

Go to A&E Mary! Do not put up with that amount of pain at home! This whole ordeal has been going on for so long!It is not time wasting! I had to go 3 times in 7 days and they said to me to go back as often as I needed and I was not wasting anyone's time!Plus I was doubled over in agony, green and unable to straighten up! Now it wasn't from my Tumour but they can check nothings rupturing and give you decent pain med's.
Thinking of you and hoping you're feeling a little better today 💖

So far I have managed to struggle through without venturing to the hospital since after my week long stay I am not in a rush to return (unless its for actual surgery!). My pain on the left hand side has eased (not gone completely) but at least I'm not moving slower than a 90 yr old now. I am still bleeding (hasn't stopped for the past 3 weeks or so since they tried the surgery). I am wondering if perhaps one of the cysts could have burst? Would that mean it will then be gone all by itself?
