hi,

i'm looking for some information. when you was diagnosed with fibromyalgia what was your early symtoms? signs? ill give you a run down of mine...the past year i just havent felt right although some of my symptoms have got on for longer...years even! this is a few of them:

shooting pains in joints/limbs

tingling in hands, feet, face, head.

warm sensation on cheeks as well as down right arm and back.

ibs

constipation sometimes diarrea changes on and off.

random sore spot on inside of left leg/ saddle area, makes leg ache.

sore chest...if i breath in deeply my chest wall feels so sore! like ive been hit many times (been like it about 3 years)

shoulders sore also..weaker arms when lifting or doing simple tasks.

sore back...lower and middle.

GERD type symptoms.

if someone pokes me in the arm it can leave a pain and can last for about a minute...feels more like someone has punched me...happens in top of arm as well as my sides.

did anyone experience similar symptoms? some of these ive had for a while.

I have very sore burning pain in chest muscles at moment. Also if someone was to playfully poke my arm it would hurt like i had been punched . I also feel weaker in arm when lifting and get sore muscles afterwards.

So...I get the chest (sternum) pain which is also a part of pain I have in my rib cage. That's due to costochondritis. Extremely painful.

If your doctor is dismissing this as anxiety (which could cause some of these symptoms, but could also be a result of them), you need a new doctor.

thank you all! ive always been sensitive to pain right from a young age, ive always felt a little different if that makes sense. im from uk so have the NHS and usually have to be referred by a gp. im thinking of going private just to get answers. i have other symtoms that arnt listed but i find it hard to explain. i was diagnosed with TMJ few weeks ago. top of my shoulders, my full chest area as well as ribs get so sore! waking up in a morning i often feel achy and sore/weak. like ive ran a marathon. the sore spot in saddle area, left leg....anyone experienced this? doctor didnt have a clue or really address it and just passed me on to a physio. i feel like its pointless even going now as i feel they will just pass it all off as anxiety and ill get nowhere. no anount of exercising takes the pains off. i even get shooting pains in my fingers!

I Started having exactly same symptons last March, tests were done and nothing showed up. It took til December to be diagnosed with fibro after insisting on being referred to the Rheumatologist! but in August I started seeing a chiropractor privately and it has totally got rid of the pins and needles, numbness, tingling all over, restless legs etc - I would totally recommend this. I also take vitamin D which has helped and Amitriptyline which helps me to have a good nights sleep.
