Hi was on citalopram for 20 weeks. And the it did nothing. So switched to sertraline 5 weeks ago. And I'm on 50mg and I feel shocking. I have been doctors this morning. And he has switched me to Venlafaxine and I'm not sure about it. I have sert on prescription. So I can up my dose to 75mg instead of switching after 5 weeks. So I'm a bit in limbo. If somebody could help would be very welcome

hiya, I too am at my wits end.Was on clomipramine for 14 weeks and was just feeling good when was told I'd have to swap because it was being discontinued in uk. I have been changed to sertraline, back to square one and it sucks. It is a problem what to do. Some people swear by venflaxine so hope it works for you. It is snri rather than ssri and might be better. Good luck, hope it works for you.x

I'm the same, 5wks at 50mg and the side effects are still awful, but then sometimes I feel amazing then others like I'm back to square 1, I'm gonna stay on 50mg for another week or so, then up my dose to 75mg, from what I'm reading about sertraline it takes a long time to find the right dose, even 5wks and 50mg may not be enough for you, i don't think it is for me, plus the more time you give them I think the side effects lessen,
its also easier to come off a lower ish dose than if you was to go up to 100-200mg,

Im thinking instead of going to Venlafaxine. That I should just knock up my dose to 75 mg and see what happens.. Thank you 😉
