SAD is a real problem for those in the upper states in the US. Many light boxes to sit in front to reduce SAD available online.is recommended vit-D,

sleeping is is anyone's guess from bedtime habits, foods drinks meds to breathing obstructions . Best to do a little research and find a for for your sleep.

    Hi,

are you on medication for the AF? Some meds can make you depressed. Can you have a cardioversion to correct the AF?

i lived in the North of England and suffer with SAD too. I have a powerful light box that really helps as it fills the room with 'sunshine'.

sleeping is also a problem for me. I try to keep to the same bedtime (12) and even if I have a bad night, get up by 8.

i love crafts and try to at least keep my hands busy, which helps take my mind off the AF.

everyones circumstances are different, but I wish you well.

I wouldn't say I have a SAD problem as such but I do have a SAD lamp and I am now more housebound because of my overall problems including AF so this is a timely reminder to get it out and use it.        You don't say what meds you are on and if  your sleeping habit has changed maybe since you have been on them if so?    I don't have a problem sleeping but I know I am better not eating after about 6pm and also have to be very careful what I drink later.   Meaning soft drinks but certainly in the past if I drunk anything with aspartame in which I don't touch these days that would stop me sleeping so if you use them try cutting them out.     Also I have to avoid computer later in evening and wind down before bed.    Good Luck and enjoy the good days.............and Christmas.
