afraid of colon cancer

Hi I'm Bryan 33 years old.My problem started since last November 2014 when I have blood in stool for 2 days. I ignore that but it came back last of May 2015.That's the time that I decided to go to my GP and he refer me for a colonoscopy last June 1 2015. the result is that i have diverticulosis and have internal hemmorhiod that cause the bleeding and the g.i. told me that I have no cancer. But the bleeding continues and change of bowel habits like diarrhea and thin stools but most of the time it's normal. Last week of October I experience a sharp abdominal pain on the left side. I went to back to my GP and refer me for a ultrasound which came back clear. The pain continues and he refer me for a ct scan and still waiting for a result. Please someone help me or tell me who has the same experience. Thanks

I currently have the same symptoms as you but still waiting on having a colonoscopy. I would think the chances of them missing a cancer during your scope in June

as being very slim. Not sure if you have researched Diverticular but it seems the pain is generally on the left side and they do cause bleeding. My guess would be that thats where the problem lies. Hope you get an answer soon smile

Hi tease how are you? I just got my CT scan result and it came back normal. My doctor said it might be IBS as all the test came back normal. Hope your colonoscopy will have a positive outcome.
