After 5 years I finally found a cure for MGD and Blefaritis (for me) ...if anyone is interested I let you know because I have been struggling a lot and spend lots of money on docters and eyedrops and all sorts of medicine.
This is the real thing! No add-just the honest truth from a simple person who could not watch tv or use the computer anymore...I also couldn't sit on plains or trains anymore because of the airco etc...
I had pain every day...and now I have found a solution that makes it easier and a lot of symptoms are gone...

I had bleph issues for my entire life, beginning in late teens and ongoing into my 70's. My opthomolgist gave me, recently, Maxitrol, and it really helped, but it's short term. I have been using vaseline around my eyes, on lashes (have chronic dry eye and glaucoma) and found that helpful, but thinking perhaps covid-19 stress related, this is the longest, dragged period I've experience in a long, long while.
Anything you've got to offer, I'd sure appreciate.
Thanks C C

I think Manuka honey still does a great job but after a few years I still struggle because it's very difficult to use the computer or watch television. Tried everything, everything except IPL...that's laser...
Will think about it but here in Belgium it's very expensive about 2000 us-dollars so...
What I also do is steaming...about 15 min/ day and it's unbelievable what kind of mess that comes out off my eyes...but then it's starts all over again...
I have to do this every day...
Also I do every day the eyelid massages/lotions/eyedrops/Blephasteam and Bleaphasol etc..
If there is anyone who tried it all it's me.
The problem is not the eye, it's the eyelashes that are dried out. And constipation of the eyelids that is creating bacteria.
Thanks for the reply and take care!

I'm following in your footsteps, Sandra - despairing of finding something that works for my MGD and blepharitis after ophthalmologist's medication, drops and instructions have not improved anything, and then being told that it's just old age and it's very frustrating for HIM that he can't do anything about it! I too have spent a lot on drops, gels, ointments and wipes. Some are better than others, and Google searches alerted me to a microwavable moist heat eyepad, which certainly is better than the doctor's suggestion of a very hot facecloth, and wipes are better than his instruction to scrub my eyelashes with baby shampoo. I would appreciate your sharing your experience. Thank you. Cherry
