In October 2007 i had first my right carpel tunnel surgery then 4 weeks later the left,,the surgery takes 20-30 minutes from start to finish, and gave me almost instant relief(apart from slight stiffness),but now, nearl 4 months after my right arm is starting again, the tingleing, numbness, but its 10 times worse, and painfull, its waking me at night,.i,v been to the doctor who has reffered me back to the specialist(thankfully the waiting is only normally a matter of 2-3 weeks),i,m wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so what the outcome as been,,, thanks lynn

Having my left hand done, I was confident that all would be well. How wrong I was. I am in severe pain and can hardly use my thumb, it feel 'sprained' all the time. Simple things like switching the cooker on are impossible. I have to use a disabled person's bottle opener to open the easiest of things, and the pains shoot up my arm to the elbow.
I had severe bruising once the surgery was done, my arm was black, blue, yellow and purple for four weeks.
It is now 9 weeks since the surgery and it's worse than ever. My whole arm aches. I can hardly use my thumb and when returning to the doctor was told to come back in three months.
Has anyone else had this problem please?

I had the surg 2 days ago. My brusing is dark & spread into my fingers to mid forearm. Should I worry? Did you ever get responses to your post?
