After cataract surgery eye flickering

my right eye was done 4 months ago, MY left eye one month ago, both with panoptix. my vision is wonderful except I keep getting a flickering or jumping sensation in both of my eyes from time to time especially when I'm walking around. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have seen others report this flickering thing, but I have not experienced it. I have a AcrySof IQ and a Clareon lens. In a dark house with a light on off to the side or from another room I sometimes experience an arc shaped flash in my peripheral vision. This only happens when it is very dark and I suspect my pupil is as wide open as it can go. In daylight or a normally lit room I never see it.

I had flickering after cataract surgery which stopped in a couple of weeks. However, my LE has developed a strange phenomenon, which I have in early morning with night lights to my left. As I begin to walk down stairs, there is a film in my LE which rolls from the middle of the eye to the bottom and disappears. It is like wetting drops from the day before rolling down as I look down at the first few stairs. Next week will mark two months post surgery on that eye. I think that the lenses are still settling in.

I have the Panoptix in both eyes and I think I know what you're talking about. I notice it more for example when I'm in a store with very bright lights that are more directional from the ceiling to the floor. If I'm in a room that is just flooded with light and it doesn't seem to be directed there's no issue. I think it has to do with the many rings that are part of the design. I think it's possible that the light catches the edge of the rings as you turn and causes this flickering.

Next time you have this happen take note if you don't move at all does the flickering stop and then when you start turning your head does it start again. If so then this is most likely what I've noticed and I think it is the light catching the edges of the rings.

I've had mine for several months and I really don't notice it anymore so you can look forward to it slowly becoming less noticeable overtime.

As long as you're generally happy with your vision from a clarity standpoint most of these annoyances slowly go away overtime. Your brain will just program them away.

I had this initially (monofocal) right after surgery (top corner). It seemed to subside fairly quickly, thereafter, in my case.
